Perkins County Schools speech team takes second at Sutherland

Speech teams from ten schools participated in the Sutherland Speech Invitational last Saturday.
The schools in attendance were Sutherland, North Platte St. Pats, Perkins County, Chase County, Hitchcock County, Wallace, Paxton, Hershey, Hayes Center and Creek Valley.
Sutherland won the Invite with Perkins County as runner-up, Paxton came in third and Chase County placed Fourth.
Individual speech participants’ results were:
Duet:
Jeb Kohl and Triston Hite - 1st place
Eli Busick and Kenna Busick - 6th place
Extemporaneous:
Ryder Potts - 4th place
Eli Busick - 6th place
Informative:
Gavin Smith - 1st place
Kaitlin Meyer - 3rd place
