Wallace speech team performs well at Sutherland meet

Wallace Public Schools high school speech team placed in four events at the Sutherland invitational last Saturday.
Brylie Robinson placed fourth in Persuasive Speaking; Erica Resentrater placed sixth in Serious Prose; Kendall McClintock placed third in Extemporaneous Speaking and The Rapunzel OID placed fifth with team members Trey Robertson, Dajana Garrison, Ashley Robertson and Ryleigh Hanson.
“We have several novice team members that have been working hard on their events, and their efforts are beginning to pay off in medals,” said Samantha Garrison, speech coach.
The students were thrilled to see so many supporters in Sutherland Saturday, she added.
The next meet will be the Blue & Gold Speech Invitational in North Platte this Saturday.
