PCS loses to top Colorado teams

Coming off the conference tournament, two road trips to Colorado were a daunting task. For those games to be against top 5 teams made the task too tall for the Perkins County girls’ basketball team.
Holyoke, Colorado
Holyoke (13-1) holds the top spot in the Colorado Class 2A standings.
Hot shooting from behind the arc gave Holyoke control from the start. Kailee Potts scored 10 of the Plainsmen’s 15-first half points. Hallie Fisher made a first quarter basket and Libby Cole added three points in the second quarter.
Holyoke made five three pointers in the first half and got even hotter in the second half, making seven more.
Potts added six points in the third quarter and finished with 16, nearly half of PCS’s points in the 34-69 loss.
Meghan Bishop hit a two point basket and a three pointer in the second half to finish the game with 10 points.
Fisher scored four second half points and finished with six points.
