PCS takes Dundy County Stratton title

The Perkins County golf team took a 17-stroke win last week at the Dundy County Stratton Invite.
PCS Head Coach Rich Borman called playing conditions less than favorable April 5.
Golfers battle strong wind gusts and a few sprinkles.
The Plainsmen defeated the hosts 375-392. Both teams were well ahead of third place Chase County, which finished with a final score of 428.
Zaybreon Hanson won the meet. Hanson shot a 39 on his first nine holes and left everyone chasing him. Second-place finisher Nolan Burrell scored a 41 of the final nine holes, but Hanson’s 42 sealed the win. Overall Hanson finished six strokes better than Burrell, 81-87.
Storm Peterson placed third with a final score of 93. Will Long was five strokes back in sixth place. Eli Busick, 103, and Hunter Garner, 104, were 12th and 13th, respectively.
PCS traveled to the Chase County Invite Monday.
Thursday the team will be at North Platte for the Hershey Invite.
Tuesday, the Plainsmen will host their own invite.
