The Perkins County community stepped up in a big way in the past few months and helped the Perkins County

Community Foundation Fund to add an additional $186,000 to its endowment. The interest of this money will be funneled back into the county for generations to come, helping to support and grow the county we love.

The PCCFF first met a challenge given to us two years ago and raised $100,000. Because this challenge was met, the anonymous donor will now give $50,000 to the fund.

Along this two-year journey, another anonymous donor approached the fund and gave us a challenge to raise

$15,000 and in return this donor would donate an additional $15,000. This was just recently accomplished as well, with an additional $6,000 being donated! What an exciting achievement for the fund and for the county as a whole! To all of you who gave, thank you!

In appreciation for their generous gifts, we want to again recognize all who have given to these two worthy challenges.

The following are all donors who have given towards helping meet these two challenges: Larry and Erna Todd, Genie  and Gaylord Bishop, Mike and Alyson Carlson, Dr. Cliff and Janie Colglazier, Mike and Marcia Frerichs, Ronda and the late Garry Lawyer, the Grant Group, Darlene Hatch and family, Scott and Debi Osler, Kevin and Monica Poppe, Kevin Ruser, Leon Shaw, Frank and Sandra Anderson, in memory of Gerald Burge by Wayne and Nancy Burge, Bonnie Dodson, Lucille Foster, Dan and Josie Hughes, Bill Jackman, Patsy Kroeker, Leon and Charlotte Kumor, Delbert Marquardt, Middle of Nowhere Bar & Grill, Keith and Doris Olsen, Ron and Gloria Patrick, Pinnacle Bank, Bill and Carlene Potts, Ryan and Michaela Potts, Ivan and Ann Regier, Joann Smith, Terese Svoboda, in memory of Robert and Delores Swan by Carol Salsmann, Dave and Tracey Swan, Susan Traxler, Tim and Ashley Colglazier, Adams Bank & Trust, Adams Insurance Advisors, Aurora Coop, Glen and Dixie Colson, Dana and Linda Cornelius, Jeanie Daiss, Dennis and Dr. Ruth Demmel, Perry and Lasca Dudden, Val and Tom Foster, Elizabeth Fraser, Dan and Evelyn Gengenbach, Heritage Insurance, Yvonne Hermann, HiLine Coop, Geraldine Klug, Darlene Kuskie, Janet Lagler, John and Kris Long, J.J. and Nicole Long, Diana and Wayne Maupin, Lorene Mercier, Ervin and Marion Oellermann trust, Johnson Publications, Tom and Michelle Ross, John and Carol Salmonson, Sandhills State Bank, Pat Schroeder, Greg and Cheri Sis, Jeff and Wendy Skeels, Don and Kay Softley, Tom and Barb Tines, Aaron and Becky Uehling, Jeff and Rita Wallin, Calvin and Irma Young, Pauline Zwick, Dr. Marvin and Marcia Swan, Imperial Beef, Joel and Lisa Long, Lorain Altig, David Wiebe, Cody and Tana Miller and several anonymous donors.

We thank each and every one of you for believing in Perkins County and helping to secure an endowment that will continue to benefit the county long after each of us is gone.

Just because the challenge grants have been met doesn’t mean the PCCFF is finished building its endowment. Our mission continues on and our work is never done. So, please do not forget the foundation as we head into 2020.

The larger we can build the PCCFF endowment, the more money we can put back into the county. Maybe you intended to give to the challenges but for one reason or another just weren’t able to get that check into us. That’s

OK, we can still use it. Please consider remembering the Perkins County Community Foundation Fund in your giving goals for the New Year. As for the New Year, all of the members of the PCCFF wish each of you a blessed and prosperous 2020. The Perkins County Community Foundation Fund maintains an unrestricted endowment fund to support projects within Perkins County that provide positive community impact. Currently, a fund raising campaign is underway to expand the foundation’s funding capacity. The efforts follow the foundation’s mission of “providing opportunities to give back” to the community with a vision of “promoting socially & economically vibrant activities that enhance a high quality of life”. Local government and nonprofit entities can apply for grant funding. For applications or to make contributions contact beckyuehling@hotmail.com or PCCFF Treasurer, 75785 Road 344, Elsie, NE 68134.
