Items, money needed for food pantry

With the holidays coming and inflation continuing, the Perkins County Ministerial Association, food pantry, Backpack and Angel Tree programs are asking for donations.

From helping in the short-term with paying bills, to providing food and gas money, to providing other toiletries, the PC Ministerial Association has been consistently blessed with great donations, said Kelly Hanson, secretary at the E-Free Church. But, the need continues.

Items that are needed now at the pantry include canned tuna and chicken, meal helper kits, peanut butter, jelly, snack crackers, ketchup, mayonnaise, dressings, cake, muffin, pancake, kid’ cereal, and brownie mixes along with toiletries, laundry items, cleaning products, among other items. Also beneficial are gift cards to Hatch’s, especially increments of $25. Hatch’s patrons can also donate their reward points to the association.

Monetary donations can be sent to the PC Ministerial Association, P.O. Box 981, Grant, NE 69140. Food can be dropped off at any church in the county. Please make sure the food is not expired.

For more information, or to utilize the pantry, call the E-Free church at 352-4274 or any pastor in the county.
