Quilters honored at Wallace Fall Festival

Faith Memorial Library hosted their fourth annual Quilt Show on Saturday, Sept. 17. There were 34 entries from local quilters, and over 75 people came to see the quilts, and vote for their favorites.  

Winning Best of Show was “Mineral Matrix” made by Mitzi Gartrell for her daughter Shiloh Folchert.

Best Large Quilt was “Underground Railroad” made by Diane Bryant from a kit purchased by her son Zach Bryant.

Best Small Quilt was “The Tick” made by Julie Bain

Best Barn Quilt was made by Karlie Finley, a senior at Wallace High School.

The People’s Choice quilt was a batik scrap quilt made by Dennis Carr. This quilt also won Reserve Grand Champion at the Lincoln County Fair.
