September Report for Grant Fire Department and Perkins County Ambulance

For the month of September 2025, the Grant Fire Department and Perkins County Ambulance Responded to 26 incidents during the month.  The September incidents broke into 5 fire responses, 5 trauma responses, 4 medical incidents, 2 Cardiac situation, 3 long distance transfer events, no motor vehicle accidents, 2 Flight for Life assist, and 5 other EMS incidents. 

For the year to date there have been 232 requests for aid, consisting of 52 fire responses, 112 medical emergencies, 43 long distance transfers, 15 Flight For life events, and 12 vehicle accidents and 1 storm watch.

The department members participated in driving skills training in September and two members of the department attended the Nebraska Wildland Engine Academy completing 12 hours of training. 

Can you or do you do someone whom can give at least 5 hours of time per month. If you find yourself able to give 5 hours per month to the citizens in our community the fire/ambulance could use you, the 5 hours would consist of 2 hours of monthly training, 2 hours in a monthly meeting and 1 hour in response to the aid of someone needing assistance for an emergency event in our area.
