Thank you, veterans!

Veterans were honored Friday, Nov. 11, during events held at Perkins County and Wallace Schools. Above, LaVern Poppe is cheered on by PCS Elementary children during the walk of honor for veterans who had enjoyed breakfast earlier in the school’s multi-purpose room. PCS students then put on a special program for the vets in the gym, with Veterans Edward Dunn and Jon Forney speaking. At Perkins County High School, the Veterans Day program included speaker Veteran Dick Ogren, and music by the chorus and band. In Wallace, Veterans were also treated to breakfast after a program put on by students and staff at the school.
