With its third straight win the Wallace football team improved to 4-3 as it looks to secure a spot in the Class D6 playoffs.

Friday’s game against Southwest (4-3) got off on the right foot with Wallace recovering a Roughrider turnover.

The Wildcats were first to get on the board, scoring with 7:46 left in the first quarter.

Wallace was able to convert the kick, but Southwest wasn’t, not after scoring three minutes later.

With time running out in the first quarter, the Wildcats fell on another Southwest turnover. Wallace’s 8-6 lead grew early in the second quarter with another touchdown to give the Wildcats a 14-6 advantage.
