CC Extension Office hosts Environmental Ed Day

Third and fourth graders from Chase County and Perkins County Schools, traveled to Enders Reservoir Wednesday, May 13 for the UNL Extension Office’s Enviromental Ed Day.

Students learned about trees from Chase and Perkins County’s Extension Educators, Deb Kuenning and Samantha Daniel; Kimberly Cook from Hitchcock County, Hayes and Dundy County; Donna Kircher from Red Willow County; Pheasants Forever’s Heather Francis and Melissa Irish; Nebraska Game and Parks’ Isaac Young and Jason Severe, ReNae Swim and Luke Gazak, with the Nebraska Forest Service.

Sessions ranged from “Living with Fire”, to the growth cycle of trees.
