Elsie seniors celebrate birthdays, receive donation

The Elsie seniors had their July 4th picnic at the Elsie Legion Building Tuesday, July 21 with a catered a meal of chicken strips, potato salad, baked beans, blueberry muffins and ice cream. 

Connie Wilson brought angel food cake and strawberries. Sharon Day and Jeanne Brott celebrated a July birthday. 

Todd Kraus of Sandhills Bank presented a donation of $500.00 to the seniors that will be used towards the cost of renting the Legion Hall for their monthly luncheons. 

The seniors welcomed new residents Dave and Tara Curtis and former residents Karen Hastings and her husband Ron Peroff of Honolulu Hawaii. 

Other seniors in attendance were: Scott and Debbie Osler, Bill and Marian Robertson, John and Jane Culver, Grant and Karen Fuller, Harvey Brott, Rosalie Curtis, Lyla Hahn, Delores Steinwart, Lynda Hilferty and her grandchildren Payton and Lilly Hopkins and friend Lyla McCool of Phoenix, Arizona
