Ready for the banquet

Besides taking on the committee chairmanship for the Perkins County High School Alumni Banquet this year, Brenda McClenahan has been getting some hardware ready for the banquet as well.

This year’s banquet is on Saturday, June 3 at PCHS.

According to McClenahan, 19 boxes of old GHS and PCHS trophies and plaques are cleaned and ready to be taken to the banquet in hopes they can find a home.

This isn’t the first year that the trophies and plaques will be at the banquet, they have made their rounds in the past with several different people handling them and housing them, McClenahan said. She said that Dr. Cliff Colglazier cataloged them and they were put in the Congo church basement to be sorted.

At some point, Joe and Sally Borowski had possession of them, but needed another home for them, she said.  McClenahan volunteered to take them, clean them up and get the to the banquet.

Those with questions about the trophies are asked to contact McClenahan.
