Within 10 days of receiving a challenge grant in the amount of $100,000, Western Sky Community Care Center has met the challenge.

Owner of Pronto Convenience, formerly In & Out in Grant, is Mike Schroer (left). Mike is pictured with, l-r, Janet Huff, store manager, Schroer’s son, Brady Schroer, and daughter Sydney Sohler and her husband David. Sydney and David will operate the Grant store with the help of Huff, while working to become owners within the next couple of years, Mike said.

Western Sky Community Care Center has received a challenge grant in the amount of $100,000 from an anonymous donor to continue its efforts to build a nursing home facility in Grant.

The eight acres on Grant’s northwest edge now belongs to Western Sky Community Care Center (WSCCC) as the future site of its elder care facility, as of the signing of the warranty deed Thursday, Dec. 29.
