Private pesticide training scheduled for southwest Nebraska

Private pesticide safety training has been set for Perkins, Chase and Dundy Counties. Plan to attend one of the training sessions to renew a license or for initial training.

For training sessions outside Perkins, Chase and Dundy Counties check website http://pested.unl.edu/

There is a training cost for initial or renewal pesticide certification. Please bring a copy of the letter sent by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture if renewing certification. Forms will be available to renew or certify for the first time.

Following the certification meeting or the completion of the self-study course, the information is sent to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture that pesticide training has been completed. After the NDA receives payment, a license will be issued.

Pesticide certification can also be obtained by attending and participating in a crop production clinic conducted by Nebraska Extension.

To attend a meeting, online preregistration is required at http://agronomy.unl.edu/cpc

For additional information contact Strahinja Stepanovic by email sstepanovic2@unl.edu

If inclement weather forces postponement of a training session, another date will be publicized, or learn about the new date by calling the Extension offices in Perkins 402-352-4340, Chase 308-882-4731, or Dundy County 308-423-2021.
