Wallace members present at Winter Fire School

About 190 individuals attended the 25th Annual Mid-Winter Fire School Feb. 19 at Holdrege High School.

Charles Andrews, Matthew Brenner, Leslie Chrisman, Michael Sullivan, Tom Tobiasson and Lea VanBoening of Wallace were among the participants.

The school was sponsored by the Central Nebraska Volunteer Firefighters Association and Central Community College-Holdrege. 

Sessions included car extrication technologies; emergency vehicle operation; excellent outcomes; fire and EMS service roundtable; LUCAS device, 12-lead EKG and stroke emergencies; municipal fireworks safety; sports injuries and concussion; thermal imaging; and ventilation technologies.
