City offering grass seed

Grass seed is now available at City Hall for Grant residents to replace the grass where their water meter pits were installed.

The City of Grant has two varieties available, Kentucky blugrass and sun & shade. Residents may come to City Hall to pick up a scoop or two in a small paper bag. City Clerk Jessie Faber will check residents addresses off a list as they come in and pick up their seed.

Those who are unable to make it to City Hall may send someone in their place.

City Engineer Tom Werblow has had experience with these projects in other communities, and this is the method he has found to be most successful.

Grant city hall hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
