Soaking up the summer sun
Over 80 people came to the opening of Grant Municipal Pool on Memorial Day, May 29, despite cold water temperatures. Above, Emily Cornelius takes a break from swimming to catch some rays from the day’s warmer temperatures. The pool’s heater is currently not working, causing the pool to close for night swimming on opening day. Park and Rec Director Rachel Patrick said the part needed to fix the heater has been ordered and the heater will be repaired as soon as the part arrives. Until then, she said they plan on operating during normal hours, including night swim, if outside temperatures remain 70-plus degrees.
