School board approves four resignations

Four resignations were approved by the Perkins County School Board at the monthly meeting on Monday, June 22.
Activities Director Carlie Wells submitted his resignation upon accepting a principal position at Anselmo-Merna Schools. His wife Kim Wells resigned from her position as the school nurse.
Chasta Borland, junior high and high school special education teacher, accepted a first grade teaching position in Wray, Colorado.
Deb Gager resigned from her position as junior high and high school custodian.
Superintendent Phillip Piquet said they have had seven applicants to fill the activities director / physical education position. They did not receive any applications for the special education position.
Shelly Pollard, elementary special education teacher, will be teaching Title I for the 2017-18 school year. Jonette Kemling will teach elementary special education. Katie Steffen, elementary Title I teacher, will teach junior high and high school special education this fall.
