Halloween events planned
Partly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50s will make for a pleasant Halloween this year. Communities in Perkins County are planning events to keep children safe and entertained.
Grant Trick-or-Treat Street
Trick-or-Treat Street will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 4-5 p.m along Central Avenue in Grant.
The annual event, sponsored by the Perkins County Chamber of Commerce, gives children and their parents the opportunity to fill up their goody bags and show off their costumes by trick-or-treating downtown businesses.
Chris Loeffler Photography will be offering Halloween mini-shoots for kids in costume at Image Total Fitness from 1-6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Perkins County Aquatic Center.
To make an appointment, call/text 308-352-8433 or email chrisloefflerphotography@gmail.com
Trick-or-treaters are also encouraged to visit Westview Retirement Community from 4-5 p.m.
Madrid Trunk-or-Treat
Trunk-or-Treat will be held in Madrid from 6-7:30 p.m. on Halloween night.
Everyone is welcome to come park their vehicle on the south side of the community hall and decorate their trunk. Children will make their way around the vehicles to gather their tricks or treats.
