Plainsmen 12-7 going into final week of regular season

The 11-7 Perkins County Plainsmen traveled to Chappell to play the 8-8 Creek Valley Storm on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Tough defense kept the scoring down in the first, but the Plainsmen found themselves ahead going into the second, 6-5.

Creek Valley allowed the Plainsmen to put up 18 points before halftime, including 3-pointers from Michael Beck and Josh Johnston, while only adding six for the Storm. At halftime, PC was in the lead 24-11.

After two free throws in by Tyson Patrick, and one from Spencer Ross, Charles Johnson hit a streak in the third, where he put up 14 points for PC. One more in the net from Alex Patrick before the end of the quarter put the Plainsmen in a 43-21 lead at the end of the third. 

In the final period, Perkins County saw Tanner Burge hit six free throws, while Domonic Wendell added four points, and A. Patrick and Aaron Fay also hit the basket adding to the 57-30 win over Creek Valley.
