Tate receives lifetime achievement award
Diana Tate, 40-year teacher at Perkins County Schools, was honored with the lifetime achievement award by her peers, colleagues and students. The PCS staff concluded the school year on Friday, May 18, with a staff inservice following the last day of school. At the conclusion of the staff potluck and the academy award presentation recognizing staff achievements, Superintendent Phillip Picquet announced they had one more award. A slideshow played including photos of Tate’s years at Perkins County Schools. She was presented with a years-of-service plaque from the school, a crystal apple from parents and students and a wood lawn chair from the staff. On the chair is a PC plaque that reads, “Diana Tate. 40 Years of Teaching. Time to Relax.”
