Ronald Leroy Vote, 73, of rural Wallace, Nebraska went home to heaven Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at home beside his loving wife, Mary.

Born an only child on March 26, 1945 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Roy Vincent and Bertie Agnes (Clayburg) Vote, he lived the majority of his life on a small farm near Elbert, Colo.

Ron graduated from Elbert High School in 1963 and was active in the Fondis Baptist Church.

In 1962 Ron asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior. He attended Baptist College in Denver and surrendered his life to full-time service for His Lord.

Also while at BBC he met the love of his life, Mary McAlary of Rifle, Colo. They were married Aug. 31, 1968 at Alpha Baptist Church in Denver. Aug. 31, 2018 would have been their 50th wedding anniversary.

Throughout Ron’s life, God used his talents to start churches, complete mission work, pastor churches, minister with music and bless nursing home residents.

Ron loved the Lord. He spoke fondly of his Savior often, sharing the hope of Christ with everyone. He was unapologetic about his faith in Christ. Many souls will be in heaven because of his faithfulness.

Ron loved spending time outside and always had some project to work on. He loved working on the farm, fishing and camping. His family meant everything to him.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
