NRCS to host wildflower habitat tour

The Chase County Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will be hosting a wildflower habitat tour next Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.

The event will begin at the NRCS Conference Room at 706 East 5th St. in Imperial.

From there, a carpool will be set up to look at several sites for wildflowers before ending at the Pheasants Forever Youth Memorial Park, west of Champion Mill Lake, for supper.

Topics discussed will include native forb and plant identification, youth-involved pollinator projects, and a beverage and wine tasting will be available that will include beverages that are benefitted by insect palliation.

Organizers ask those planning to attend to call by Monday to RSVP for supper.

Proper attire is advised, including close-toed shoes.

Those with an interest in outdoor photography can feel free to bring a camera.
