Gloria Styskal

Gloria Jean Styskal, 76, of Grant, Nebraska passed away Monday, July 9, 2018, at the Sutherland Care Center.

Gloria was born July 18, 1941 at Kit Carson, Colorado to Vernon and Maxine Mullen. She was the oldest of seven children. She attended two different elementary schools, Parks and Venango, Neb. She graduated from Venango High School in 1959. 

Gloria married Jerry Styskal on Aug. 5, 1978. She spent most of her working life at Goodalls/TRW/ASC as a tape wrapper. Gloria was there for over 40 years.

Gloria had a passion for music and dancing. She inherited her musical talents from her dad’s side of the family and embraced these gifts. She also enjoyed gardening, collecting owls and taking multiple walks per day with her husband. Gloria was very organized in everything she did. She enjoyed life and had an easy smile.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, infant daughter and her son, Monty Boyce.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; three brothers, Ray (Tonya) Mullen of North Platte, Neb., Roger Mullen of Paxton, Neb., Doyle (Lisa) Mullen of Paxton; two sisters, Rita (Rick) Archuletta of North Platte, Darlene (Rich) Davies of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Monday, July 16 at 2 p.m. at the Grant Fairview Cemetery.

Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant was in charge of arrangements.
