Marlene Mae Kramer, 71, formerly of Ogallala, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Valley, Neb., at the Valhaven Care and Rehabilitation Center. 

Marlene was born in Sargent, Neb., on March 21, 1947 to Roy and Lucille (Newtson) Grover. Marlene graduated from Ogallala High School in 1965. She attended Kearney State College.

Marlene married Terry Kramer on April 23, 1967 and to that union two children were born, Traci and Colin.

Marlene was employed at Ogallala First National Bank until retiring. She was also a member of an MS support group and enjoyed volunteering for Ogallala High School and church functions. 

Marlene moved to Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant, Neb., in 1997 and lived there until 2011. She then moved to Valhaven Care and Rehab Center in Valley to be closer to her kids and grandkids where she was an active member of the United Faith Community Church in Valley.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Darrell Grover and granddaughter Erin Lyn Hawk.

Survivors include her daughter Traci Hawk (Troy) of Omaha, Neb., her son Colin Kramer of Papillion, Neb., her sister Shirley (Alan) Hill of Lincoln, Neb., her two brothers: Lonnie Grover and Larry (Flora) Grover of Ogallala; four grandchildren: Emmily, Ben, Nathan and Addison; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be on Friday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. at Draucker Funeral Home in Ogallala with Pastor Russ Gaar officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Ogallala Cemetery. 

A memorial is established at the United Faith Community Church in Valley.
