Lady Plainsmen golfers to compete as team this season

Five girls will make up the Plainsman golf team this fall and will be lead by Head Coach Shawn Cole for his fourth year as head coach.

Senior Peyton Woodmancy is the only returning golfer. This will be her third and final year on the team.

Freshmen Kayton Brueggeman, Savannah Clark, Emme Sims and Kayla Reichenberg are all first year golfers joining the team.

“With the young team that I have this year my main focus is getting them better day by day. Each day we have on the golf course I would like to see improvements. I feel that with the girls that I have this will be easy to achieve. So far, the girls are working hard and getting better.  Some have gotten better with leaps and bounds!” Coach Cole said.

Thursday, Aug. 23 marks the first competition for the team. They will travel to Bayard with tee-time set for 9 a.m. MT.

There are no scheduled home invites this season, and after Bayard, Aug. 28 will see the girls head to Kimball for their second meet of the season. That invite will also begin at 9 a.m.
