Appreciation lunch held for dedication to intern program

On Wednesday, Aug. 22, the University of Nebraska College of Medicine hosted an appreciation luncheon at Grant Medical Clinic for Dr. Matt Byrd and Dr. Kristi Kohl. The doctors were presented a plaque recognizing their dedication to the intern program at UNMC.  “The University of Nebraska College of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine is extremely grateful to all of the staff and physicians in Grant for their dedication to teaching University of Nebraska Medical Center students.  Grant is a highly requested rotation site for UNMC students.  Students that have completed a Preceptorship in Grant have returned to the Omaha campus and said their experience was outstanding,” a representative from UNMC said. Present at the luncheon were (l-r): Dr. James Schiefen, Traci Draucker, PA-C; Dr. Ruth Demmel, Daniel Lomelin, third year medical student; Dr. J. Matthew Byrd, Dr. Jeffrey Harrison, Dr. Kristi Kohl, Angie Patrick, APRN; Carol Cornelius, PA-C; Dr. Shane Banks, Julie Kuskie, APRN; and Dr. Clifford Colglazier.
