At the tee box in Kimball is Peyton Woodmancy, who took ninth place overall at the Kimball meet. She ended the day with a final score of 123. 

Woodmancy places top 10 at Kimball Invite

With three invites now in the books, the Plainsmen girls golf team is optimistic and striving to see improvement as the season continues, according to Head Coach Shawn Cole. The girls traveled to Bayard on Aug. 23, where Kayton Brueggeman took home the top score for the team with a 128, followed by Peyton Woodmancy who had 140 strokes. 

Kimball was next on the schedule for the girls on Aug. 28. Woodmancy took ninth place overall with 123 strokes. Brueggeman had just five strokes more with 128. Savannah Clark shot a 151, Emme Simms shot 167 and Kayla Reichenberg shot a 168 in Kimball. 

At the Creek Valley meet on Aug. 30, Woodmancy just missed medaling and took 11th overall with a final score of 120. Brueggeman did not finish due to a back injury, Clark scored 146 and Reichenberg ended the day with a 182. 

The next meet for the girls will be on Sept. 13 when they will head to Gothenburg for a 8 a.m. MT tee time.
