Jen’s Crafty Crafts honored as Chamber’s September business spotlight
The Perkins County Chamber announced Jen’s Crafty Crafts as the September business spotlight. Jen Harger was present at the regular meeting on September 15 to discuss her business.
Jen’s Crafty Crafts was established in 2013 by Jen Harger, as a new mom with some extra time on her hands.
“I have always loved to sew. I made a car seat cover, blankets, and burp clothes for my upcoming newborn, it started out very slowly and casually as people started asking if I could make them some for their babies/grandkids,” Harger said.
She decided to become a stay-at-home mom in 2018 and said that is when the business really got going.
“Since then, it has been everything I imagined and so much more. I now offer a variety of homemade items but I am most known for my custom epoxy tumblers and t-shirts with funny sayings. I have been blessed with the trust of local businesses to handle their big bulk shirt projects,” Harger said.
In July of this year, 2021, she introduced the wholesale side of the business. This wholesale side will give business owners the opportunity to carry my items in their retail spaces and sell for retail.
“It has been very successful so far and it is exciting to know people and boutiques all over the US are carrying/wearing/using my designs and something I created,” Harger said.
As far as the future of Jen’s Crafty Crafts, Harger said “I would love to have a bigger location to assist and grow with the needs of my wholesale and retail business.”
Jen’s Crafty Crafts is located at 1st and Lincoln in Grant. She can be reached at 308-352-8356 or by visiting her website at www.jenscraftycrafts.com.
