Piquet finalist for NPS position

Perkins County Schools Superintendent Phillip Picquet is among four finalists for the superintendent position at North Platte Public Schools. 

Their board announced the finalists last week from a field of 12 applicants.  

Each of the candidates will sit for public interviews. Those began Monday and will continue through Thursday. Picquet’s interview was scheduled for Tuesday night. 

The North Platte board will meet Friday for final discussions and complete the selection process. 

Current Superintendent Ron Hansen announced his retirement in September. 

The other finalists include John Poppert, superintendent at St. Paul Public Schools; Dan Endorf, superintendent at North Bend Public Schools, and Todd Rhodes, superintendent at Gothenburg Public Schools.
