4-Hers experience new skills

Eight-year-old Tristyn Lampmann (left) is assisted by Marsha Gusmerotti with practical sewing experience at the 4-H Project Day, Saturday, April 9. This was a 4-H Council-sponsored event for individuals and families enrolled in, or considering enrolling in 4-H. The Lampmanns were one of approximately 15 families attending the event, which offered booths with community volunteers who were available to answer questions about the 4-H program, horticulture, clothing/sewing, goats, swine, animal health, dogs and archery. Gusmerotti, one of the volunteers, is a professional seamstress who grew up in Perkins County, whose love of the craft originated in 4-H.
