The Wallace volleyball team picked up its third loss of the season last week coming at the hands of Class D1 number one Maywood/Hayes Center, but the Wildcats have little to hang their heads about.
Wallace played MHC in the second match of its home triangular with the Wolves and Brady.
After sweeping Brady 25-12-25-10, the Wildcats lost 19-25, 25-22, 14-25 against MHC.
Wallace Head Coach Krystal Sauser said the first set was close throughout the whole set.
“In the second, the girls came back from an eight-point deficit to win. In the third, we got down early and could gain the momentum we needed to finish the game,” Sauser said.
Ruins Bronco homecoming
Wallace traveled to Wauneta Friday to take on the Broncos. Sauser said her team girls came out quick and took care of business in the first set, 25-14, but the Broncos did a good job adjusting to Wallace’s blocks and had enough momentum to win the second, 26-28. The Wildcats bounced back with 25-20 and 25-22 wins

Sauser said with Wallace and Paxton both having a lot of success this year they will be two tough games.
The regular season will end Oct. 11 at Garden County. Besides the Eagles (13-7), Potter-Dix (17-2) will also be there.
The RPAC tournament will begin Oct. 13.
