Putnam and Lundvall compete in state fair fashion show
Perkins County 4-H members were among 306 4-H members who participated in the 4-H Fashion Show at Grand Island on Saturday, August 24. Youth ages 8-18 showcased garments that they made, decorated, or purchased through 4-H projects during one of the three shows hosted within the Raising Nebraska exhibit in the Nebraska Building at the State Fairgrounds. 4-H members modeled for a panel of judges and for a crowd estimated at 430 per show during the Nebraska State Fair.
Talis Lundvall, daughter of Casey and Kylin Lundvall, of Wallace, received a purple ribbon in the State Fair 4-H Fashion Show. Talis modeled a romper that she constructed from a 100% cotton cow print fabric. Talis attends school at Wallace Elementary.
Cecilia Putnam, daughter of Nicole Putnam and Ryan Putnam, of Grant, received a purple ribbon in the State Fair 4-H Fashion Show showcasing her consumer skills with a purchased garment.
Cecilia plans to wear her garment while participating on the mock trial team this fall at Perkins County High School.
