The Perkins County Animal Shelter is having their annual animal shelter fundraiser on Saturday May 17th from 3 PM to 6 PM.
They have done several fundraisers in the past such as wine tastings and escape rooms, however they are trying something new this year.
They will be hosting a scavenger hunt around the city of Grant.
Teams of 2-5 will perform different tasks at different places to earn points. On top of that there will be “squeaky toy stations” that are sponsored by businesses and people within the community to earn more points.
The teams will need to solve riddles to find the toys and retrieve them back to the shelter. Any monetary donations that teams find along the way will also count as bonus points.
Once the scavenger hunt is over, teams will go back to the shelter and winners will be rewarded with gift baskets.
They are also hosting “Always Kaffeinated” and “ProKop’s Smokin Barbecue” for food and drinks for an after party.
During this time there community will be able to do meet and greets with the current animal shelter residents.
