Get Ready for fun and Festivities at the Perkins County Fair in Grant

The Perkins County Fair is getting closer and closer. The excitement will begin July 14, 2025 and will finish July 19,2025. This year’s theme is “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.”
Participants can celebrate the past, the present, and the future with all the events taking place that week.
The 4-H Horse show will take place on July 10, 2025, a few days prior to the start. The show will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the arena at the fairgrounds. The Trail Riders will show off all the hard work they have put in this year.
On July 14, 2025, the 4-H poultry show will begin at 8:30 a.m. Immediately after, the 4-H rabbit/companion show will take place. Spectators can watch as 4-H members exhibit their birds and small furry friends. At 1 p.m. the 4-H dog show will begin. Members will be judged on basic dog obedience and style.
The static and floral 4-H entries will be held at the fairgrounds from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. Don’t miss the livestock check in, the same day from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The 4-H swine show will begin bright and early, 8:00 a.m., on July 16th. Following will be the 4-H ultrasound contest at 12:00 p.m. Members will judge market animals to determine qualities like amount of muscle, size of ribeye, and amount of fat. To wrap up the day, the archery contest will begin at 6:00 p.m. The Food vendors will arrive sporadically this day as well.
Get a good start to your morning on the 17th by stopping at the chamber breakfast. It will be available starting at 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. At this time the beef show will begin.
In the afternoon, it will be time for the sheep and goats to shine. This show will start at 2:00 p.m. At 5 p.m the beer garden and the kids carnival will open. Make sure that kids who want to participate in the mutton bustin register at this time. At 6 p.m. BINGO will be available. Also, the Ranch Rodeo, Mutton Bustin, and FFA Farm Olympics will start at this time.
On July 18, the 4-H Round Robin starts at 9:00 a.m. Winners of the animal showmanship classes will compete to win a top showman prize. Next the livestock sale will begin at 1:30 p.m.
The kids carnival and beer garden will open at 5 p.m. Shane Parde, a young musician, will perform from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. BINGO will start at 6 p.m.
Then the first of two concerts will start at 7 p.m. Eve 6, a rock band, sings songs such as “Inside Out,” “Here’s to the Night” and many more. This is the first year the Perkins County Fair will have back-to-back concerts.
On the last day, July 19, the parade will kick off the morning at 10 a.m. Grab lunch at the Barbecue beginning at 11 a.m. Following will be the 4-H style show and awards. At 2 kids should register for the tractor pull, starting at 2:30 p.m.
The kids carnival will be available after, at 3 p.m. Back for another performance, will be Shane Parde at 5 p.m. The beer garden will also open at this time.
The last chance to participate in BINGO will start at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. Joss Ross and Joe Nichols will take the stage for the second concert of the Perkins County Fair. Ross is known for his songs such as “Leave Me Too” and “Single Again.” Joe Nichols has a number of famous songs, including “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.”
