Fund concludes fiscal year supporting numerous projects

The Perkins County Community Foundation Fund, PCCFF, finished the 2025 fiscal year on June 30. During the fiscal year, the Fund supported thirteen projects with a total of some $33,000 in grants to local organizations.

From July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, the Fund provided financial assistance to:

-Community “beautification” projects in Madrid and Venango.

-Perkins County Schools Boys and Girls basketball program.

-City of Grant for upgrading Armed Forces memorial bench at the City Park.

-Snack program for Perkins County Elementary School.

-Furniture upgrade for Perkins County Senior Center.

-New signage for Perkins Historical Society Museum.

-Elsie Fire Department building painting project.

-Park Ridge Assisted Living events support.

-Western Sky Community Care Center, promotional video.

-Perkins County Youth Arts Program, Missoula Theater.

-Southwest Nebraska Community Betterment Corp., support for housing appliances.

-Teammates Program for background checks.

Most of the above projects were funded in total by Fund grants with several being supported in part by the Fund with additional support by the sponsoring organization or other sources. It is beneficial to have shared support.

Funding for grants to various community organizations is provided by “payout” from the PCCFF endowment funds. Currently, endowment accounts of the Fund have balances approaching $900,000. For the 2026 fiscal year beginning on July 1, 2025, the payout is some $37,500, including nearly $4000 carried forward from the 2025 fiscal year. Fund grants are approved by the Fund Advisory Committee, including ten members from throughout the county, meeting monthly.

The Fund Advisory Committee wishes to thank the loyal supporters of the Fund over the years to provide opportunity to support local organizations and agencies.
