Perkins County Football Team adds another win to record

The Perkins County Plainsmen Football team played against South Loop Bobcats on Friday September 12, at Perkins County’s home turf, Haenfler Field.

Each team fought to earn points in the first quarter. However, neither team scored. In the second quarter, both teams scored a total of eight points, each achieving the 2 point conversion, bringing the game to a tie at half time.

In the third quarter, Bobcats pulled ahead earning a touchdown and a 2  point conversion, whereas Plainsmen only had one touchdown. Going into the fourth quarter, South Loop was in the lead. Plainsmen fought to earn the lead as they scored two touchdowns, opposed to one touchdown scored by Bobcats. The final score was 26-22 with Perkins County Plainsmen taking the trophy.

Next Action

Plainsmen will be practicing to play against Bridgeport Bulldogs in Bridgeport, NE on September 19 at 6:00 p.m.
