In the second quarter, Spencer Williams completed an eight yard touchdown to start. To finish the second quarter, Mason Minster completed a five yard touchdown with under a minute left.
The third quarter began with Grant Gloy recovering a fumble by the Morrill Lions. However, Plainsmen did not score for the remainder of the quarter.
In the fourth quarter, M. Minster then earned a twenty four yard touchdown bringing the score to fifty six for Plainsmen. Following the score, Jared Mirels rushed to complete the two point conversion. He then scored a ten yard touchdown and with the help of M. Minster, completed the two point conversion once again. The final score of the game was 66-0 with Plainsmen dominating the opposing team. Head Coach Brendan Geier praised the team for their success. “Our kids started the game with great intensity on both sides of the football. Morrill is a little low on numbers this year, but I thought they played hard for all four quarters. Getting off to a fast start allowed our younger kids to get plenty of playing time, which was good and will pay off for us in the future,” he said.
