Community Thanksgiving tradition carries on

Volunteers needed

The 38th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held this year on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at the New Life Fellowship Church in Grant, located at 4th and Mitchem. A traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  A meal of baked ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and pie will be served along with coffee, iced tea, and lemonade.

With the financial help of several generous sponsors, organizers are able to provide this meal at no charge.

Home deliveries are available to Grant residents along with takeout meals. Please call to have meals delivered on Thanksgiving Day.  All deliveries and takeouts are planned to be done by 11 a.m. so the volunteers can prepare to serve guests who are coming to dine inside. Inside dining will begin by 11:30 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Volunteers are needed on Thanksgiving morning for food preparation; packaging of meals, making deliveries; serving the meals, and clean up.

Youth of the community are encouraged the to help with this event as a service project. It’s a great way to come together and serve in this ministry.  Those who can come for just an hour or so, any help will be appreciated!  Or perhaps you can help afterwards with cleanup.

Anyone interested in assisting in any way, or to order a home delivered meal or for pick-up, please contact Jim & Star Kemling at 352-4314 or 353-0214.
