November report from Grant Volunteer Fire Department and Perkins County Ambulance
For the month of November 2025, the Grant Fire Department and Perkins County Ambulance Responded to 20 incidents during the month. The November incidents were divided into 5 fire responses, 1 trauma responses,4 medical incidents, 2 Cardiac situations, 5 long distance transfer events, 1 motor vehicle accidents, 1 Flight for Life assist, and 1 other EMS incidents.
For the year to date, there have been 271 requests for aid, consisting of 60 fire responses, 127 medical emergencies, 53 long distance transfers, 16 Flight For life events, and 14 vehicle accidents and 1 storm watch.
The department members participated in patient care and transport during the October regular monthly training session. The November regular training involved Scene Size up and rapid intervention techniques. Since the last monthly report Five members complete d the Nebraska Pipeline Association Safety training. Two members attended the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters annual conference and while in attendance, completed Leadership training taught by the National Fire Council. Two members provided various Fire Prevention lessens to more than 100 individuals during Fire Prevention Week. 3 Members completed the Forestry Services 32-hour Wildland Firefighting training “Red Card” criteria. 2 members completed the National Fire Prevention Fire Officer II training and 4 members attended the Nebraska EMS Medical reporting system updated procedures. 4 members completed cardiac training provided by Apollo Med Care.
