A total of 30 families were served during the 2025 Christmas season by the Perkins County Ministerial Association’s Angel Tree outreach program. Gifts were distributed Friday, Dec. 19, according to Coordinator Shari Friedel.

“Each family received gifts for their children consisting of clothing and toys, a gift box of food in conjunction with the local Food Box program, and a $50 gift card to Hatch’s Grocery,” Friedel said.

As in year’s past, gifts were purchased by community members who chose the tags from Angel Trees placed throughout Perkins County churches, Friedel said. Also new this year was an online registration option, which went well, she said.

“The online registration seemed to work pretty well and the committee plans to do the same next year. The committee is always trying to improve the efficiency of the program, and is looking forward to serving Perkins County and area families next year,” Friedel said.

Those wondering how to help with the program next year, or who have questions, can reach out to Friedel, or to any county pastor with questions.
