Recent blood drive deemed success
The blood drive held on January 6 at the Perkins County Fairgrounds took place on an unusually warm day and presented challenges due to illness.
The drive successfully collected 34 productive units of blood, a result that was both meaningful and greatly appreciated.
The blood drive highlighted the generosity, patience, and cooperation of our community—qualities that are often taken for granted but were clearly demonstrated throughout the day.
Volunteers extend their sincere thanks to all community members who volunteered their time to donate blood, as well as those who assisted with operations to ensure the drive could continue safely and efficiently.
Special appreciation goes to the Lions Club for their invaluable help with setup, takedown, and signage.
Volunteers are also grateful to Golden Plains Church for providing a delicious lunch of chili and cinnamon rolls, along with the homemade cookies that were enjoyed by all.
Volunteers are deeply thankful for everyone who contributed to making our blood drive a success.
