Grant Art Gallery has packed schedule for 2026

Since 2003, the Meadowlark Art Gallery in downtown Grant has been featuring artists and musicians from around the area, across Nebraska and from other states, and 2026 will be no different.

The non-profit gallery’s 2026 schedule is jammed full from now through November, said Gallery Director DeeAnn Tatum, who heads up the activities and the functions for the gallery. The gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. -7 p.m each month events are scheduled. Private viewings can also be scheduled by appointment, and made through the gallery’s Facebook page or talking with Tatum.

The gallery’s 2026 schedule includes the following:

· February: String Fling x3--featuring Joel Hall, Mark Jones and Jacie McConnell--Winter Music Event featuring local musicians.

· March: Perkins County Elementary School children’s art featured.

· April: Perkins County Jr./Sr. High School student’s art featured.

· May: Twisted Masters--a collection of twists on masterpieces by Ogallala Nebraska Artist Breeanna Benton who is a painter, tattoo artist and muralist.

·  June: Perkins County Historical Society’s Museum Show.

· July: No show, but arts and crafts classes will be offered. More information will be forthcoming.

· August: Danielle Easdale - Paper Artist from Seward.

· September: Nebraska Impact Water Show – Featuring more than 25 Nebraska artists who will display art featured around the theme of water.

· October and November: Local Artist Dave Curtis - Featuring the theme of “Signs of our Time.”

· December: Closed

The gallery is funded through grants and donations, with the bulk of the funding coming from the Edith and Dwight Harwell Trust and from the Perkins County Community Foundation Fund, Tatum said. Donations are always welcome, she said. Patrons can follow the happenings at the gallery on their Facebook page.
