WSCCC Valentines Gala canceled

With regret, the board of Western Sky is announcing the cancellation of the 2026 Valentine’s Gala. Refunds have been made for those who purchased tickets. 

President Mark Bottom said the board met early this week to make this difficult decision. Several factors were considered. “Community scheduling, conflicts and a shortage of supporting staff like servers were just too much to overcome,” he said. “The board also wants to be able to really zero in on our upcoming open house in March.” 

The open house for Western Sky will take place at the new facility from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. Bottom said plans, invitations and other work by board members for the open house is well underway. Brief comments from special dignitary guests will be made at 2:00 p.m. that day, and those attending will have a chance to tour the building. 

 “For now, please put March 21st on your calendar. Plan to come and celebrate with us, tour this beautiful new facility, and recognize what community can do when we share a vision,” Bottom said.
