The Grant Lion’s Club pancake feed held Friday, Feb. 6 at the Perkins County Fairgrounds in Grant, was a huge success, according to Lions Member Trent Patrick. The feed attracted approximately 150 people, he said.

The money raised this year will be donated to Jimmy Konzak  and his family to help offset medical expenses for the 10- year-old who was injured in a UTV accident in November 2025. Jimmy is healing, but continues to have some complications related to the accident, according to his mom and dad, Kelly Konzak and Crystal Sinner.

Jimmy suffered breaks in his growth plates in both his leg and arm during the UTV accident. For a month-and-a-half, Jimmy had to be in a wheelchair and then in a walking boot. His arm was also required to be immobile after a rod was placed in it for stabilization.

Jimmy’s parents stated that his leg has healed well, and he is able to walk on it now without assistance, but there have been complications with his arm healing properly because of movement with the rod, they said. The family goes back to the doctor this week to find out a path forward in getting his arm to properly heal.

Kelly, Crystal and Jimmy have been overwhelmed by the kindness shown by the community during this challenging time in their lives, and thanks everyone, including the Grant Lion’s Club, for their assistance and generosity. Please continue to read the Tribune-Sentinel for updates on Jimmy’s healing process.
