Beverly Jo Kinney, 94

Beverly Jo Kinney, age 94 of York, NE, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026 in York. She was born on June 30, 1931 to Clifton J and Fae (Albro) Gaddis in Holyoke, CO. She grew up in Grant, NE, and graduated from Perkins County High School. On March 9, 1957 she was united in marriage to Kenneth M. Kinney in the Methodist Church in Grant, NE. After marriage, they lived in Venango, Kearney, and 52 year residents of Waco, NE. 

As an early career, Beverly was a bookkeeper at the Grant Ford Dealership, Grant Co-op, and Perkins County Courthouse. While residing in Waco, she worked as a secretary and computer operator at York Medical Clinic. 

She enjoyed music and was the pianist/organist at the former United Methodist Church in Waco. She liked quilting and sewing, making numerous quilts for her family, displaying them and assisting with quilt shows at the County and State Fairs. A favorite activity of hers was gardening and canning her produce, from her multiple garden spots and she always enjoyed the fresh food. She loved baking and cooking for family events. Beverly really enjoyed trips to Branson, MO for various shows. 

She is survived by her husband Kenneth, son Bryan (Terri) Kinney, grandchildren Brandon, Sarah, Gage, and Cole, and nine great-grandchildren, son Evan (Lissa) Kinney, and grandson Ethan Kinney.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clifton J. Gaddis and Fae Gaddis, aunts Mary, Flossie, and Guydah Albro. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Metz Chapel in York.      

Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. (Mountain Time), Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery in Grant, NE.  A closed casket visitation will be held for 1 hour after the funeral service on Tuesday.
