The Meadowlark Gallery will spotlight the work of paper artist Danielle Easdale during its August featured artist exhibit, with an open house planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.

The community is invited to meet Easdale during the reception, which will also feature live music by Nichole Ross and refreshments.

Easdale creates detailed artwork using paper as her primary medium, transforming carefully cut and layered pieces into lifelike portraits and colorful compositions. Her work showcases the versatility of paper art, demonstrating how texture, depth and intricate craftsmanship can be combined to create striking images.

One of the featured pieces prominently displayed for the exhibit is a portrait of a white dog wearing a red-and-white striped bow tie, highlighting the realistic detail and layered technique that characterize Easdale’s style.

The open house provides an opportunity for visitors to meet the artist, learn more about her creative process and explore the newest exhibit while enjoying an evening of art, music and fellowship.

Hosted by the Perkins County Area Arts Council, Meadowlark Gallery regularly features rotating exhibits from regional artists and offers community members the chance to experience a variety of artistic styles and mediums throughout the year.

The August exhibit featuring Easdale’s work will remain on display throughout the month, with the Aug. 8 reception serving as the official opening celebration.
