Area veterans attended the Korean War Veterans Recognition Ceremony July 10 at Mid-Plains Community College’s South Campus in North Platte. Hosted by western Nebraska county veteran service officers, the ceremony honored eligible Korean War-era veterans with commemorative coins in appreciation of their military service.
