Aneta Thompson

Aneta  Shafer Thompson, 94, formerly of Gering, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in Faulkton, South Dakota.

She was born to  Hazel and Clair Shafer on March 20, 1922 in Wallace, Neb. She graduated high school in Elsie, Neb., and graduated as an RN from Scottsbluff, Neb.  

On Oct. 30, 1943, she married Wayne Thompson, who preceded her in death. They lived in Gering for 55 years.

She is survived by son, Tim (Carol) Thompson; daughter Susan (Ron) Bowar; grandchildren Wendy Thompson, Adam (Jennifer)Thompson, Erin Bowar, Shannon (Brandon) Schuler, Breann Bowar; sisters Ona Shafer Noto and Greta Shafer Sparks.

 Funeral services were held in Faulkton, SD with burial in Gering.
